And UNROB   during the period of 1971 to 1973.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Since I have decided to fight for the liberation of my motherland and to free the country from the clutches of Pakistani aggressors, I could not sit idle to bear so much harassment as Pakistani army did. As the circumstances were against the Bengali nation I was in the midst of great turmoil and began to collect information and progress from time to time for the independence of our country. The correspondences and the speeches made by the leaders of the Bangladesh and the Indian Government were collected by me from lime lo time and reproduced below:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On April 24, 1971, Sycd Nazrul Islam, Acting President of The People's Republic of Bangladesh wrote the following letter to the President of India.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;strong&gt;"Excellency.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Upon the proclamation of the sovereign independent People's Republic of Bangladesh on March 26, 1971, a Government with Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at its head has been established.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A copy of the Independence, of Independence, Laws Continuance Enforcement Order and list of Cabinet members are enclosed and marked with letters 'A' 'B' &amp;amp;. 'C respectively for your perusal&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The Government of Bangladesh is exercising full sovereignty and law full authority within the territories known as Pakistan prior So March 26, 1971 and has taken all appropriate measures to conduct the business of State in accordance with custom, usage and recognized principles of International law.&lt;br /&gt;In view of the friendly relations that traditionally exist between the fraternal people of Bangladesh and that of India, I request Your Excellency's Government to accord immediate recognition to the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The Government of Bangladesh will be pleased to establish normal diplomatic relations and exchange envoys with a view to further strengthening the ties of friendship between our two countries.
